The dictator Daniel Ortega, through the presidential agreement 200-2024, published this Wednesday in the official newspaper La Gaceta, reported that he accepted the resignation of the former Minister of Health, Carolina Dávila, who served as presidential advisor for “matters of the Local Health System.” Comprehensive Health Care of Managua and other functions that were delegated to it.
Dávila assumed the position of presidential advisor since April 2020, after she was removed from the position of Minister of Health, according to presidential agreement 33-2020.

Dávila’s alleged resignation coincides with the fact that in the last week the theater set up with health personnel and patients in the building stolen from the Confidencial media outlet was revealed, where according to the Ministry of Health a maternity home would operate. The owner of the confiscated property, journalist Carlos Fernando Chamorro, showed some photos that left the regime naked.
The photos published by Chamorro showed that the supposed clinic was in total abandonment, with chains on the completely rusted gate, weeds in the parking lot and walls whose paint was peeling.
Chamorro’s denunciation put the dictatorship on the run and once again sent the Minsa workers to put on a new show to cover up the abandonment of the stolen property. They brought in, again, nursing staff and pregnant women and put them back to work in the building. They painted the walls and cut down the bush, but the die was already cast.
On December 2, the Minsa released a statement through official media, indicating that “due to the guidance of Commander Daniel and Comrade Rosario” the Casa Materna “Camila López” evolved “into the Maternal and Child Clinic ‘Camila López’.”
Former Minister Dávila is one of the officials who lasted the least in the position of Minister of Health. In July 2019 she was placed by Ortega in that position and, nine months later, on April 1 she was removed.
Complicit in the theft of Confidencial
The former minister and now also former advisor Dávila, in February 2021, after the Confidencial facilities were de facto confiscated by the Sandinista regime, was in charge of inaugurating the “Maternal House of District One” on that property – on behalf of the Minsa. Camila López´».
At that time, the Ortega official assured that in that maternal home “by the blessing of God and by the political will of Commander Daniel (Ortega) and companion Rosario (Murillo), we are going to care for more than five thousand women.”
