In 2024, the Rádio MEC Award received 470 compositions from all regions of the country, in addition to the submission of ten radio programs. For the first time, the award opened applications for radio program producers. The intention was to democratize access to the broadcaster’s schedule and also expand the content repertoire.

Today’s event rewarded compositions and performers awarded by the specialized jury and the best work chosen by popular vote in the categories of music for children, instrumental and classical. In total, nine musical awards were awarded.

The ceremony organized by the Empresa Brasil de Comunicação (EBC) broadcaster had several musical numbers, and was presented by Bia Aparecida and Sidney Ferreira. The initiative also celebrated the 90th birthday of maestro Isaac Karabtchevsky, honored in this edition of the competition.
