“The alternative to imposing harsh sanctions on Russia would be World War III,” US President Joe Biden said in an interview with Bryan Tyler Cohen.
“There are two options: either World War III or make Russia pay” a high price, the US leader insisted.
In Biden’s opinion, “these sanctions are the largest in history from an economic and political point of view.” In addition, he considered that his objective until now has been to keep NATO united.
For this reason, Russian President Vladimir Putin is “producing the opposite effect to what he wanted”, because he thought he could divide the allies.
“Russia will pay a high price,” he added.
