Blooming’s technical director, Álvaro Peña, highlighted the dedication and performance of his team after the 1-1 draw against Aurora, considering that they played with one less man throughout the second half. In addition, he praised the debut of Santiago Castedo and confirmed that he will play in the classic against Oriente.

Peña spoke at a press conference about the game and highlighted the attitude of his team. “I am proud of my players for what they left on the field. Suddenly, the fan wanted a win, like everyone else; I wanted it too, but we never gave up the attack. Despite being one less, we ended up playing with three forwards. A point is a point and it will serve us well; It would have been sadder to lose,” he said.

The coach also referred to the absences of Moisés Villarroel and Rafinha, whom he considers key players due to their ability to handle the ball and create scoring situations. “It was difficult for us because we didn’t have two good players like Rafinha and Moisés; They know how to have the ball and we lacked that. We pressed with three forwards, but it was difficult for us to maintain possession. In the second half, with some changes, we took the ball away from Aurora and there we improved,” he added.

Peña did not hide his sadness at having started the game with a man less after the expulsion of Richet Gómez, but praised the team’s ability to recover from adversity. “You get sad because we were left with one less when we were losing, but I tell you again: I am happy, not because of the result, but because of the dedication of the players,” he expressed.

Finally, he spoke about the debut of Santiago Castedo, who only had a few days of training with the first team. Peña congratulated him and assured that he will play in the classic against Oriente next Sunday. “I am happy for Castedo; It hasn’t been more than ten days since I first saw him. I decided to put it in because I know the conditions he has and I know he will know how to exploit them. On Sunday he will play again; I’m risking it for him,” he concluded.
