Celebrations begin in commemoration of the 152nd anniversary of the end of the Guasu War

The activity is traditional and is part of the “Jahapa Cerro Corape” event that takes place the night before March 1, when another anniversary of the end of the war is commemorated.

The festival will take place in the Cerro Corá National Park, and will feature presentations by renowned artists such as Jazmín del Paraguay, Los Líricos, Manzana Azul, Angelus, Diego Torres and Fabio Kaida, Trilogía and Mariachi Norte.

In addition, dance and poetry presentations are held on February 26, 27 and 28, culminating on Tuesday, March 1, with the official commemoration in which the President of the Republic, Mario Abdo Benítez, will participate; the Minister of Culture, Rubén Capdevila and other national authorities.

The artistic moment of the first of March will be carried out by the National Symphony Orchestra (OSN).

The initiative has the technical and logistical support of the National Secretariat of Culture (SNC).
