The executive vice president of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, expressed this Tuesday that opposition extremism always assumes the economy as “the battlefield” to affect the Venezuelan people.
“We have learned to overcome the difficulties, we have learned to be very alert against the attacks of extremism that always assume the economy as the battlefield to affect an entire Venezuelan people,” he declared during his speech before the National Assembly, where presented the Budget Bill for the 2025 Financial Year and the Draft Special Law on Annual Indebtedness for the 2025 Financial Year.
At the event, he highlighted the resistance that the Venezuelan economy and people have had. “This is a great town, this is a town that does not give up and is indestructible. With Venezuela they have not been able to and will not be able to,” he said.
He also rejected “the opinion makers” who receive guidelines to speak fatalities about the country’s economy.
“There are the opinion makers, those who claim to be the advisors, knowledgeable on the subject, they are directly controlled by the State Department. We know their connections with the State Department, the guidelines they give them to come and speak fatalities about the Venezuelan economy,” he emphasized.
Rodríguez added that there are difficulties and vulnerabilities in a besieged country like Venezuela, but “what great victorious resistance our economy has had, mainly because of its people (…) We are always prepared because we know that extremism and fascism do not rest on wanting destroy Venezuela. “We are prepared to face them.”

“The defense of the economy is a consensus, where extremists constantly seek to disrupt, they seek with perverse plans to alter the good course that began in 2021 where we take a course for sustained economic growth, with the self-effort of Venezuelans. ”, added the also Minister for Petroleum.
Rodríguez reiterated that there is national unity in the defense of Venezuela and told the extremists “not to dare because this people is tired of them, they are fed up with them, of whom they have falsely assumed the status to speak in a derogatory manner.” and denigrating of Venezuelan women.”
“And to that extremist lady with terrorist plans against the electrical system, against the gas distribution system, we say that we Venezuelan women, Bolivarian women, are here to defend this homeland, our daughters, our grandmothers, our mothers. Make no mistake because we are not singing to celebrate the cultural industry of Miami, we are here in defense of the identity of Venezuelan men and women, and we know that it is also the feeling of the men of this country.” he assured.
On the other hand, he recalled that a year ago the Venezuelan people mobilized to answer five questions in the consultative referendum on the defense of Guayana Esequiba.
