Three members of the Dominican Police and Air Force were shot to death by criminals in several provinces of the country when they were intercepted in the last 72 hours.
Police reports indicate that the most recent case was the shooting death of FAD captain Tomás Méndez, 51, in the Corambar sector, in Villa Liberación of the Santo Domingo Este municipality.
He points out that the crime occurred yesterday, around 6:20 in the morning when he was traveling along Rufino Penales Street, taking away his service weapon.
Last police officer in Barahona
In the province of Barahona, a second police lieutenant and a civilian died from multiple gunshot wounds early Sunday morning, in a fact that remains under investigation by the authorities.
The victims are police officer Meregildo Espinosa Segura and Brayan Adonis Ferreras Féliz, 27 years old. While the person wounded by a gunshot is Carlos Borges Mancebo, 28, who is receiving medical care at a health center.

In Samaná, Police Corporal Franklin Erick Feliz Capellán (Gary), 29, was shot to death in the municipal district of Las Galeras by two young men.
The Police reported that the alleged criminals Jancer Balbuena Ureña and Juan Manuel Bueno (Chuky) were detained after voluntary surrender, who are being identified as the alleged perpetrators of the crime in Feliz Capellán.
