The Private Technological University of Santa Cruz opens the doors of its COWORK UTEPSA, an open innovation space aimed at facilitating interaction, collaboration and co-creation between the university community and the ecosystem made up of companies, institutions and society. Effect of open innovation, the company RIA Ventures is incorporated as a key ally in Cowork, promoting the development of impactful entrepreneurship and innovation.
This new physical space has all the amenities for new projects and business ideas to emerge in this cowork, which stands out for providing infrastructure and spaces for the development of collaborative projects between the university and external companies. Likewise, it will facilitate workshops, seminars and training activities on topics related to innovation and entrepreneurship.
The aim is to create a network of contacts between students, entrepreneurs, academics and businessmen, offering this work space, mentoring and advice for entrepreneurs, startups and ventures, contributing to the creation of startups and business initiatives, through the strategic support of the university. and allies.
Alejandra Caballero, who is the leader of the entrepreneurship center, indicated that “the pillars on which the CoWork is based are: Open impact innovation, sustainability, inclusion and technology.”
The inauguration of the cowork will take place on Friday, December 6 at 10:30 a.m. at UTEPSA, with the participation of two prominent international panelists: Dennis Nakamura; Brazilian entrepreneur, investor, mentor and TEDxTALK speaker, who will speak at the opening about how he managed to grow IFood by 3714% in one year. The participation will be Paulo Shibata, who was the winner of MASTERCHEF BRASIL and who is also Director of Operations at Red and Red Company, a gastronomic holding company. Shibata will share a presentation on how he managed to create a $20 million company in one year.
Likewise, the event will have the participation of Alexandre Potel, CEO of Ria Ventures, which is the allied company of COWORK UTEPSA.
Finally, the Magnificent Rector of UTEPSA Rubén Darío Dabdoub Azogue, stated, “We invite you to be part of the inauguration of our cowork, which we are sure will be very useful for the community.”
