THE MINISTER DECAYS – I
Oh, Santiváñez
Juan José Santiváñez no longer has decent arguments to defend his management. The Minister of the Interior, who during his mandate has caused citizen security to decline, has tried to refute the cover of Perú21 on Monday, December 2. With the title ‘The anti-drug fight declines’ it is pointed out that the United Kingdom cut off financial aid to a special group of Dirandro due to inefficiency and corruption in that police department. Far from explaining the points made in the report, the minister relies on drug seizure operations to point out that the information is false and that the fight against drugs is not declining, just as his approval and his work in office are declining – spectacularly.
THE MINISTER DECAYS – II
pure number
A few days ago, Santiváñez tried without success to make the country believe that his state of emergency has produced results and that the crime rate has decreased, when the only thing that does not decrease are extortions and crimes that increased considerably during his increasingly decayed management. Does Santiváñez seriously believe that these drug seizure operations imply success in the fight against drugs? Next time, refute with arguments, Mr. Minister.
ETHICS COMMITTEE
They will investigate Rivas
The Parliamentary Ethics Commission approved the ex officio complaint against Janet Rivas Chacara, accused of hiring a ghost worker and paying her more than seven thousand soles per month, according to a report by Cuarto Poder. Of the ten members of Ethics, eight approved the complaint against the Peru Libre congresswoman, while two preferred to protect it. Do you know who tried to save Rivas? Well, Kelly Portalatino and María Taipe, his two colleagues on the bench.
ELMER SCHIALER
The ‘jewel’ of RR.EE.
Elmer Schialer was full of praise for the president’s son and justified his appointment as Peruvian representative to the United Nations. Our chancellor described his “young colleague” as a “promise of Peruvian diplomacy” and ruled out any nepotism in his appointment. “They have found him absolutely suitable and he proved to have everything necessary to go to the United Nations,” said the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
