Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel today thanked the founders and workers of the Department of Stenographic Versions of the Palace of the Revolution on Twitter, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary
of the founding of that group.
Thank you for your dedication, from silence and modesty, expressed the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, who alluded in his tweet to a meeting this Saturday “with those who have been an example of loyalty and commitment to Fidel, Raúl and the revolution”.
“Our beloved and historic Stenographic Versions Department turns 60. With feelings and gratitude, I met with those who have been an example of loyalty and commitment to Fidel, Raúl and the Revolution.
Thank you for the dedication, from silence and modesty,” he tweeted.
According to information published on the website of the Cuban Presidency, from the Palace of the Revolution and regarding an official birth that took place on February 24, 1962, the president evoked meetings he has had at other times with that valuable group.
Díaz-Canel affirmed that celebrating the 60th anniversary of the foundation of the Palace’s Shorthand Versions Department is an event that does justice to the revolutionary commitment, dedication, professionalism, tenacity at work, and personal improvement.
Thanks to you we have been able to have, preserve, know, use valuable documents, reflections, ideas, concepts of the Commander in Chief (Fidel Castro), the Army General (Raúl Castro), and the
main leaders of our Revolution throughout history, he maintained.
The Head of State spoke about continuing to contribute to the development of this activity, which must always be present at the Palace, and recognized the role of the young people who have joined the department and who are continuity.
The celebration included the showing of audiovisual material related to the origins of the department and anecdotes of its founders.
At the proposal of the Trade Union Bureau of the Palace of the Revolution, the National Union of Public Administration Workers, for all the work carried out in these 60 years, agreed to deliver to the Stenographic Versions collective the Commemorative Plaque on the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Union.
According to the information, workers and retirees received diplomas from the hands of Díaz-Canel that symbolize gratitude for so much effort.
