On the night of this Sunday, December 1, the Santa Cruz Mayor’s Office turned on the Christmas lights in the Plaza 24 de Septiembre in a cheerful and colorful atmosphere, thus officially starting the activities on the occasion of the Christmas.
The heart of the city was duly decorated with cribs, trees, palm trees, starsalso papanoeles, spaces where families and friends took the opportunity to take a photograph to remember.
“We want to thank architect Pinto for all this work and also Sarita Mansilla, Secretary of Culture. From here, I hope that this Christmas is one of love and tenderness among all of us,” said Mayor Jhonny Fernández before the countdown for turning on the lights.
Before the lights were turned on, a symphony orchestra offered a spectacular Christmas show with the traditional and historical hymn To the world peace, recreating an exciting moment. More than one cell phone was raised to capture the presentation.
The mayor of Santa Cruz announced that the Plaza del Plan Tres Mil, the Villa Primero de Mayo, the Pampa de la Isla, the Papal Altar and the monument to Christ the Redeemer They will also be decorated.
