Omar González, member of the national leadership of Vente Venezuela and one of the six opponents asylum in the Argentine Embassy in Caracas, denounced this Sunday, December 1, the “critical” situation in which they find themselves at the diplomatic headquarters.

Through a publication on his account on the social network

“We issue an urgent alert to the national and international community about the critical situation faced by six persecuted political asylum seekers in the Argentine embassy in Caracas, under the protection of Brazil,” González said in X.

Opponents have denounced the constant presence of Sebin patrols outside the Embassy, ​​electrical outages and impediments to the entry of drinking water into the legation facilities.

Pedro Urruchurtu, coordinator of International Affairs of Vente Venezuela, has documented in his social networks the problems they have had in recent days with basic services.

The Unitary Platform issued a statement this week in which it questioned the siege against the Embassy and asked the international community to intercede so that safe conduct is granted to the six opponents.

This Sunday, December 1, opposition leader María Corina Machado referred to the situation and assured that what is happening at the Argentine Embassy is “torture on Argentine territory.” He urged the “democratic world” to act immediately.
