The Morropón-Chulucanas Provincial Corporate Criminal Prosecutor’s Office requested preventive detention against the Police non-commissioned officer, Edixon Rone Córdova Godos, who would be the main suspect in the disappearance of the Civil Engineering student from the University of Piura (UDEP), Anthony Iván Camizán Guerrrero.

The police officer is charged with the alleged crime against freedom in the form of violation of personal freedom in the form of kidnapping.
The hearing has been scheduled for December 3 at 10 in the morning, which will take place in the Chulucanas Preparatory Investigation Court.
His brother Junior Camizán Guerrero urged the authorities to do justice for his brother’s disappearance, since April 2022.
He stressed that there are sufficient elements that incriminate the non-commissioned officer in his brother’s disappearance, such as audio messages, text messages and others.
“We just want the truth to be known and we hope that this police officer is remanded in custody because there are several indications that implicate him as the main suspect in my brother’s disappearance,” Junior said.
He requested the head of the Piura Police Region, PNP General Manuel Farías Zapata, to “keep an eye on” the non-commissioned officer to prevent him from escaping, if the Chulucanas Court dictates prison.
