The presentation of Diana Molinatogether with the crowning troupe Los Picarazos, was a tribute to the capital of Santa Cruz in the 461 anniversary of its foundation.
The queen of carnival 2022 wore a monumental fancy dress, entitled “On the Threshold”, which attracted attention from a long distance, especially for the endorser, who represents a missional Chiquitano church.
The queen’s dress, in yellow and silver, was in tune with the brightness of the sovereign, who radiated joy and spread it to all points of the journey of the Santa Cruz corso 2022, which took place this Saturday at the cambodromo.
Dayana danced and waved while receiving in return the affection and affection of the people, who came to see her and enjoy the central event of the Carnivalwhich this year was named as the Carnival of reunion.
It was two years that had to wait to meet again in this ancient and traditional activity of the big party, the pandemic forced the celebration to be suspended in 2020 and on this occasion it returned in the midst of a control and biosecurity environment to avoid the resurgence of covid, which many anticipate for after Carnival.
The parade also showed that the crisis had a considerable effect on the carnival people, since very few troupes showed up to ‘jump’ this year. However, there was little consideration for people’s pockets in some sectors, such as the chair sector, where Bs 100 was charged for a space. This forced many people to stand and watch the show or try to find other places to enjoy the parade, after avoiding control at the various entrances to the cambodromo, where several crowds were generated.
Comparsas of women
Compared to other years, the female troupes were few, but they were the ones that stood out the most for their joy. Some of those who participated were the Kuña Porá, Authentic, Barbies, Gaviotas, Mitakuñá and Soñadoras.
Most of these comparsas had outfits alluding to the founding of Santa Cruz la Vieja. Although, other outfits were also presented. For example; heThe Kuña Pora represented the Sugar Cane.

Among the traditional stood out Lthe Chichis and Botaratas, the first with its tradition of giving toys to the little ones in the corso and the second with fantasy money.
In this group of comparsas all were accompanied by bands on the tour and some like the Cereboses with their queen.
