The Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, held a telephone conversation this Saturday with his Syrian counterpart, Bassam al-Sabbagh, to whom he conveyed the solidarity embrace of President Nicolás Maduro towards the people and government of Bashar al-Assad.

Earlier, a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry Venezuela absolutely condemned the hostilities against the people of Syria, carried out by terrorists led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), which caused considerable damage to the civilian population and aggravated the humanitarian situation in the province of Aleppo.
The Bolivarian Government also urged the international community to condemn the continued use of terrorism against the Syrian Arab Republic.
