The Ministries of Mines and Energy; of Transportation; of Work; of the Interior and Treasury and Public Creditin compliance with the negotiations with the cargo and passenger transportation bases of Colombia, announced that, as of December 1, the diesel price will remain at $10,248.
The commitment to the bases of cargo and passenger transportation was an adjustment in the price of a gallon of ACPM of $800 at the end of 2024. This adjustment was divided between $400 that came into effect as of September 7, and $400 that came into effect as of December 1, 2024..

It should be remembered that the National Government has established a general price for ACPM, and another for large consumers. The first groups all those who go to service stations, a segment that will receive price increases gradually.
Diesel
For its part, the second covers those who use more than 20,000 gallons per month and who acquire the ACPM directly from the distributors. For them, there is already a decree in force since June 24 that sets the full rate of the international price of diesel. It should be remembered that this decree does not apply to integrated mass transportation systems, who will pay $10,248.

Despite this increase, diesel in Colombia continues to have one of the most economical gallons of fuel in the region, being only surpassed by Ecuador and Bolivia.
