Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic (Minerd) published the results of the third call of the National Tests 2024in which 6,596 secondary level students were evaluated, of which 3,167 passed for a 48% promotion.
The director of Minerd Educational Quality Evaluation, Yanile Valenzuela Calderón reported that 11,283 students were called for the tests. Of them, 8,648 are in the Academic modality, 542 in Arts and 2,093 in Professional Technician.
The National Tests evaluate the learning achievements obtained by students upon completion of the Basic and Intermediate levels.

Their Results have consequences for the promotion and certification of the student. There are three calls so that no student is left without taking them.
The qualification What the student obtains at the educational center represents 70% and that of the national test 30% of the final grade.
He detailed that the average score, on a scale of zero to 100 points per subject, in the Academic modality, was 55.79 in Spanish Language; 56.71 in Mathematics; 56.55 in Social Sciences and 56.18 in Natural Sciences.
The average score obtained by the students taking the Arts in Spanish Language modality was 55.77, andn Mathematics 58.71in Social Sciences 56.34 and in science Nature 58.68.
The students who attend the Professional Technical modality They obtained an average score of 61.27 in Spanish Language; 60.68 in Mathematics; 61.33 in Social Sciences and 60.29 in Natural Sciences.
In Education General Adult Average 2,200 were evaluated, of which 1,613 passed for a 73.32% promotion. The average score obtained in Spanish Language was 17.77, in Mathematics 17.62, in Social Sciences 17.96 and in Natural Sciences 17.25.
