He President Gustavo Petrofrom the department of Guainíastated that the State coffers would be running empty, calling on governors and congressmen to “constitute themselves as a territorial political force in defense of the territory, with the purpose of not running out of money.”
“There is a budget crisis with many causes behind it, such as over-indebtedness using Covid as an excuse, which led to the growth of debt, in addition to the irresponsibility of not raising the price of fossil fuels. All this happened in two years, and we have paid the consequences. That’s why we raise gasoline and diesel“said the head of state.

“(…) The State is running out of money. The fall of the tax reform, which was annulled by the Court, had no reason to exist, and has put the country in danger. That is why we have proposed a financing law, but the country is at risk due to the position of the president of Congress. Cepeda’s sensitivity is aligned with gambling and with multinationals that export coal and with the richest, instead of solving the Government’s budget problem”, he stated.
