In the surrounding areas there is a presence of transport units that travel escorted by officials.
The Venezuelan Prison Observatory (OVP) reported this Friday, November 29, that a large police deployment has been recorded since early morning in the facilities of the David Viloria Penitentiary Center, Uribana and the Fénix Penitentiary Community, located north of Barquisimeto, Lara state.
The OVP said that there is no information about the reasons for the police presence, which includes helicopters, which has worried the relatives of those deprived of liberty in said prisons. “They do not let them stay outside the premises and they do not provide them with information about what has been happening since the early hours of this Friday,” the organization wrote in X.

“So far no authority has provided information about the operation being carried out at the facilities. Inside the Fénix prison there are eight buses and 11 parked vehicles outside. In addition, the presence of officials from the PNB, GNB, Dgcim and Sebin is recorded and this keeps the relatives in anxiety,” indicated the non-governmental organization.
