Around 220 thousand taxpayers who fell through the cracks and settled their outstanding issues will receive money from the tax authorities. Throughout this Friday (29), the Federal Revenue Service pays the batch of refunds for the November fine mesh.
In total, 221,597 taxpayers will receive R$558.8 million. Of this total, R$306.9 million will go to taxpayers with priority reimbursement. Due to the floods in Rio Grande do Sul this year, gauchos taxpayers were included in the priority list
Regarding the list of priorities, the majority (88,246 taxpayers) reported the Pix key of the Individual Taxpayer Registry (CPF) type in the Income Tax declaration or used the pre-filled declaration. Since last year, Pix key information has been given priority in receipt.
Secondly, there are 34,287 taxpayers between 60 and 79 years old. In third place are 8,898 taxpayers whose biggest source of income is teaching. In fourth place, there are 8,643 taxpayers residing in Rio Grande do Sul. The rest of the priority taxpayers are 4,802 elderly taxpayers over 80 years old and 3,570 with some physical or mental disability or serious illness.
The list concludes with 73,151 taxpayers who did not provide the Pix key and do not fit into any of the legal priority categories.
Since the 22nd, anyone who wants to know whether they have been included in the residual batch can consult the Federal Revenue page on the internet. Just click on “My Income Tax” and then on the “Consult Refund” button. It is also possible to consult the Federal Revenue app for tablets and smartphones.
Payment
Payment will be made to the account or Pix key type CPF informed in the Income Tax declaration. If the taxpayer is not on the list, he must enter the Virtual Taxpayer Service Center (e-CAC) and obtain the declaration extract. If there is a pending issue, you can send a rectifying statement and wait for the next batches of fine mesh.
If, for any reason, the refund is not deposited in the account informed in the declaration, as in the case of a deactivated account, the amounts will be available for redemption for up to one year at Banco do Brasil. In this case, the citizen will be able to schedule credit in any bank account in their name, through the BB Portalor by calling the bank’s Relationship Center, on telephone numbers 4004-0001 (capitals), 0800-729-0001 (other locations) and 0800-729-0088 (special telephone number exclusively for the hearing impaired).
If the taxpayer does not redeem the amount of his refund after one year, he must request it on the e-CAC Portal. When entering the page, the citizen must access the “Declarations and Statements” menu, click on “My Income Tax” and then in the “Request refund not redeemed in the banking network” field.
