The result was bad for both rivals. The alviverde team went to eight points, provisionally taking tenth place, provisionally outside the relegation zone. To continue like this, Ju hopes that União Frederiquense does not score points against Brasil de Pelotas on Sunday (27), at 19:00 (Brasilia time), in Frederico Westphalen (RS). The Grená team, with 12 points, has the third position and the place in the G4 threatened in the sequence of the round.
In the first half, goalkeeper César saved Juventude by slamming, almost over the line, in the 13th minute, a ball that deflected the defender Paulo Miranda, from his own team. In the 42nd minute, forward Batista had another chance to open the scoring for Caxias, but the kick, inside the area, went over the goal. In the final stage, each team had one player sent off (defender Rafael Dumas from the Grená side and the lateral William Matheus from the alviverde) and the score remained unchanged.
The two teams return to the field for Gauchão next weekend, for the tenth round. On Saturday (5), Caxias will visit Ypiranga in Colosso da Lagoa, in Erechim, at 7pm. At the same time, but on Sunday (6), Juventude receives the lantern Guarany de Bagé at Alfredo Jaconi. Before, on Wednesday (2), Ju takes Porto Velho, also at 7 pm, at the Aluízio Ferreira stadium, in the capital of Rondônia, for the first phase of the Copa do Brasil.
