Tragic news shook two families in Colombia after the mysterious death of two young women identified as Jacqueline Restrepo, 22, and Deicy Acosta, 24, who were in a motel accompanied by a Mexican citizen, also deceased.
The event occurred on November 19 in the city of Puebla Zaragoza, Mexico, located approximately two hours from its capital.

According to The ColombianJacqueline lived in Medellín and Deicy, in the municipality of Bello. According to the Restrepo family, Jacqueline traveled to Mexico in February 2024 in search of better opportunities, and her idea was to return in December to spend the end of year holidays with her family.
According to the investigations, the three deceased did not show signs of violence, and one of the first versions suggests that the cause would have been gas inhalation, because they left the vehicle in which they arrived on. However, local authorities are investigating to rule out whether it was a criminal act.
The bodies of the two Colombian women and the Mexican were found by the employees of the place, who went to request the room after the time of the stay had ended. Upon entering, they found the room filled with smoke.
The families of the victims in Colombia are experiencing a drama, since more than a week has passed and, due to lack of economic resources, they have not been able to repatriate the bodies of the two women. The cost of repatriation, according to family members, would amount to 12 million pesos.
