Santo Domingo.-The young Dominican who was detained at the Liberty International Airport in Newark, New Jersey, for alleged trafficking of controlled medicationsclarified this Wednesday that he is not imprisoned in that state of the United States, and specified that the medication for which he was arrested is not for trafficking, but for personal use for depression and overweight.
“They arrested me because I had 108 pills of a controlled medication for anxiety/overweight (Phentermine) with me,” said the young man. Stephen Dominguez Madera on his Instagram account, although he later deleted it.
Domínguez Madera is coordinator of Farmacias del Pueblo de Promese-Cal in Esperanza, Valverde province (northwest).
