With the result, Imortal remains threatened by relegation, occupying 14th place with 41 points. Raposa appears in 7th place with 48 points.
Even away from home, Grêmio opened the scoring in the 18th minute of the first half, when center forward Braithwaite took advantage of João Pedro’s low cross to score. But Cruzeiro did not lose heart and equalized at 41 in the initial stage. Matheus Pereira passed it to Veron, who returned it with a rising pass that ended with a first-time shot from the number 10 into the opponent’s goal.
