Jaime Chincha on shielding Minister Julio Demartini: "He gives rotten food to the children, but they don't throw him away"

During the recent edition of his program ‘From fact to saying’, journalist Jaime Chincha harshly criticized the decisions made in Congress, in particular censure of the Minister of the Environment, Rómulo Muchoand the shielding by the Legislature against the Minister of Development and Social Inclusion, Julio Demartini. Chincha compared these decisions to the seriousness of complaints about the poor quality of food distributed by the Qali Warma program.

“They have censored Rómulo Mucho. Illegal mining has wonbecause Mucho was fighting from within so that Reinfo is not expanded further. Who is going to enter now?” said Chincha, alluding to the supposed support that illegal mining would have received, when approving the censure against the minister with more than 70 votes. in favor, 4 against and 13 abstentions.

However, the journalist expressed his indignation at the lack of action against Demartiniwho also had a motion of censure against him, and despite complaints about spoiled food delivered to schoolchildren. “They don’t vote for Demartini, they don’t vote for him. They give food with mushrooms, rotten food, horse meat to the children… but they don’t throw it away,” Chincha emphasized.

It is worth remembering that Qali Warma has come under fire following complaints about the distribution of rotting canned goods and foods with fungi, which were even destined for animal shelters in the not be suitable for human consumption. These irregularities, made known by a journalistic complaint by ‘Cuarto Poder’, caused the poisoning of students from different regions.

“The state of emergency is a salute to the flag”

In another section of the program, Jaime Chincha also criticized the Government’s recent measure, which decided to extend the state of emergency in 14 districts of Lima and Callao for a period of 45 more days. The provision, which comes into effect this Wednesday, November 27, was confirmed by supreme decree No. 129-2024-PCM, published in El Peruano.

In this regard, the journalist pointed out: “First, the state of emergency as such does not work, it has been proven. This is a salute to the flagis to calm the mayors”, who assured that the extension of the measure would not be a real solution to the problems of citizen insecurity facing the country.

“‘State of emergency’ sounds like ‘we are doing something,’ but in practice It has been proven that it is useless. It’s just this that is here: a paper (showing the supreme decree). Because it has also been demonstrated that this Government has no authority,” he added, questioning the lack of concrete actions by the Ministry of the Interior.
