The starting stone has already been laid. The Cardiosalud Clinic | Domingo Savio celebrated the official inauguration of its new and modern spaces in an event attended by departmental and municipal authorities, academics, doctors and representatives of the university community of the Domingo Savio Private University (UPDS). Thus, the beginning is marked of an expansion project that aims to create a national network of second-level clinics in all departments of the country, under the administration of the Pacheco Group.
Why choose Cardiosalud | Domingo Savio, the first clinic in Santa Cruz of the Pacheco Group? For its effective care, modern equipment and comprehensive care. With this incorporation, the group reaffirms its commitment to improving access to quality health in Bolivia, seeking to meet a growing demand in the health system, especially in areas with a high need for accessible medical services.
A model of second level clinics for Bolivia
The expansion project seeks to create a network of second-level clinics with high resolution capacity. The incorporation of Cardiosalud is only the first step, and in the next five years, Grupo Pacheco plans to open more clinics in various regions of Bolivia. This model aims to close the gap between saturated public health services and high-cost private clinics, offering quality medical care at affordable prices, with cutting-edge infrastructure and technology.
The second level care model includes a wide range of services, such as general medicine, gynecology, pediatrics and other specialties. In addition, it will offer advanced diagnostic and hospitalization services to address medical cases that require greater complexity.
A benchmark in comprehensive care and advanced technology
The renovation of Cardiosalud, located on Tres Pasos al Frente Avenue No. 3075, between Third and Fourth Ring Roads, has turned this clinic into a landmark in Santa Cruz. With a highly specialized medical team and cutting-edge technology, the clinic stands out for its ability to perform complex surgical interventions and specialized cardiology procedures, as well as its emergency team and its ability to respond in critical situations. It has 24-hour Emergency, Intensive Care, Hemodynamic Cardiology, Tomography, X-rays and Ultrasounds.
“Today we take an important step in our commitment to the health of the population. With these new facilities and advanced technology, we are ready to continue providing quality care, with a human and professional approach,” highlighted Gonzalo Rojas Hurtado, general manager of Cardiosalud. | Domingo Savio, during the inauguration.
In Rojas’ opinion, with this vision of expansion and social commitment of the Domingo Savio Corporation, the clinic is positioning itself as a fundamental actor in strengthening health in Bolivia.
“This clinic, like the first of many that we are going to have and that the Domingo Savio Corporation plans to build, acquire and manage throughout the country, second level, but with high complexity; This is the beginning of a project that seeks to improve access to health and at the same time generate learning opportunities for all future professionals in the sector, thanks to our alliance with the UPDS, but it is also a source of work and for this reason I invite all medical professionals in Health to join this project, which is already a reality,” he emphasized.
Strategic alliance for the training of health professionals and other areas
A fundamental aspect of this project is the collaboration with the Domingo Savio Private University (UPDS), which, through an agreement signed with the clinic, will allow students studying Medicine, other areas of health and various faculties, perform professional internships in a real healthcare environment. This alliance will not only strengthen the academic training of future health professionals, mainly in Medicine, but will also provide students from other careers the opportunity to obtain practical experience in a clinical setting. In this way, their experience and commitment to the well-being of the population is enriched.
Paola Pericón de Chazal, Regional Rector of the UPDS Santa Cruz Campus, highlighted the relevance of this collaboration, pointing out: “This agreement provides our students from various areas with a valuable opportunity to learn directly from real cases from the first years of their training, to the at the same time that it enables them to face the challenges of the health system. He expressed his belief that the clinic, with its modern infrastructure and highly trained equipment, will be the ideal space for students to develop professionally. Likewise, it highlights that UPDS workers will have medical attention at the clinic.
A promising future in Bolivia
In his speech, Víctor Pacheco Llerena, president of the Board of Directors of the Pacheco Group, highlighted the positive impact of this expansion on the country’s health. “With the opening of Cardiosalud | Domingo Savio and the projection of our network of clinics, we seek to solve one of the great gaps in health care in Bolivia: the lack of accessible and quality medical services. We are convinced that this network will transform the health landscape in the country and will provide new opportunities, both for patients and health students,” he stated.
Pacheco explains that they are currently working on the construction of the large headquarters of the clinics that will be on Beni Avenue, UPDS area, on land acquired for this project. In Santa Cruz de la Sierra they plan to open clinics in other areas of the city, such as La Guardia and in the North, totaling four centers. On a national scale, they plan to expand health services in the nine departments, where the UPDS is located, and hope to have between 13 to 15 medical centers in Bolivia.
In this way, the Pacheco Group launches a far-reaching project that promises to transform the supply of health services in Bolivia, improving the quality of life of families and providing UPDS students with excellent training in a field real. The expansion of this network of clinics will be consolidated as a key pillar in the improvement of the country’s health system.
