Santo Domingo. – Nothing at all. And no. The president of Dominican Medical College (CMD) does not want cameras in private areas of hospitals.
Dr. Waldo Suero reiterated that he opposes the presence of cameras in the private areas of the hospitalssuch as in operating rooms, offices, among others.
He complained that in Mao there is a camera in one of the operating rooms as opposed to the doctors who work there.

Several weeks ago, the Mao Regional of the CMD approved the continued use of cameras in the operating room at the Luis L. Bogaert Hospital, but the surgeons opposed it because they violated the right to privacy.
They assured that they spoke on several occasions with Dr. Mario Lama, director of the National Health Service so that I remove that camera from that place and that the problem still persists.
«We understand that Valverde Mao’s doctors held an assembly, where they approved the presence of this chamber; according to them, because the camera location area does not burden patients or doctors; and it is with the intention of caring for a very expensive surgical team that houses that surgical area,” said Dr. Suero, in a statement.
“We reiterate the call to the National Health Service to find a harmonious and legal solution,” he said in a statement.
