Ready, care plan for Juárez children; will replace daycare centers

To begin to pay off the debt that the country has with the Mexican women of Ciudad Juárez, the government is about to present the Child Care and Education Centers program for this city, announced President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, after, within the framework of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, launched a campaign that seeks to reduce this type of aggression.

During her conference, the president detailed that Citlalli Hernández, in charge of the next Women’s Secretariat, together with Zoé Robledo, head of the IMSS, work on the Child Care and Education Centers program, which will replace daycare centers or children’s stays, model that, he pointed out, was pointed out for cases of corruption.

“In my 100 points I stated that the care system was going to begin particularly with support for working women to care for their children, in the maquila, starting in Ciudad Juárez… Mexico has a debt with the women of Juárez. And from there, we go to other places with those who work in the maquila. And we are also working for agricultural workers, who are among the most vulnerable women in the country,” said the head of the Executive.

With the motto It’s not normal, it’s violencethe official proposed a decalogue of commitments for state governments, seeking to generate joint actions, among which she urged that there be zero tolerance to violence against women in any area and strengthen the prevention models of the feminicide scourge in each entity.

In turn, Sheinbaum Pardo recalled that there is a secondary law proposal to establish the mandatory nature of specialized prosecutor’s offices in the entities, to address violence against women and cases of femicides. In addition, she spoke out in favor of reviewing the gender alerts so that they do not fall into bureaucracy, but rather have substantive results and announced that the women’s rights booklet is about to be presented.
