The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, announced the reactivation of the Special Commission to investigate crimes against the Venezuelan company Citgo, illegally dispossessed by the United States government.
During the ordinary session of the parliament held this Tuesday, the deputy of the opposition bloc Carlos Melo denounced the so-called “ad hoc Central Bank of Venezuela page” which he described as the “petty cash” of the country’s extremist opposition.
In this regard, the head of the Legislative Branch He stressed that Melo’s complaint “is serious enough” for the AN not to evade the investigation “as none of the investigations and actions that have been taken from the highest offices of the State against this group of thieves have so far alluded to.” , criminals, maulas who got their hands on the public treasury for their own private purposes.”
In that sense, Rodríguez decided to reactivate the Special Commission to investigate crimes against Citgo, chaired by first vice president Pedro Infante, “so that it can immediately focus on the investigation.”
He also instructed to incorporate deputy Carlos Melo into that Special Commission.
