The event, which began at 4:00 p.m., has the participation of the ministers, undersecretaries and vice president Beatriz Argimón. This meeting marks the first instance of the cabinet after last Sunday’s runoff, in which Yamandú Orsi, candidate of the Frente Amplio, was elected president.
The main objective of the meeting is to fine-tune the current situation, although one of the highlighted topics will be the organization of the transition to the new government, which will take office in March 2025.
In this framework, a meeting between Lacalle Pou and Orsi has already been confirmed for this Wednesday at 2:30 p.m., also in the Executive Tower. The meeting will mark the formal beginning of coordination for the transfer of command and will allow the challenges of the transition to be addressed in a renewed political context.
