. He considered that the high registration of applicants in the Evaluation Committee of the Executive Branch is a success, something unprecedented and historic
.
According to the report of this Evaluation Committee, at the close of registration there were 18,447 candidates, as reported by its president, the former minister of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, Arturo Zaldívar. However, the disaggregated figures that Zaldívar himself gave (10,862 men, 6,101 women and 105 non-binary people) do not agree with his global figure.
The figures presented during the presidential conference indicate that the registration of participants was well above the minimum required in the call. In the case of aspiring ministers of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, there were 408 registrations, of which, after reviewing compliance with requirements, 90 must be designated for nine positions at this level, which will undergo insaculation to remain in 27.
Zaldívar said that in the case of the candidates for the two vacant magistrates of the upper chamber of the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation, 333 were registered, of which 20 should remain at the end of the process. For the regional chambers there are 388 applicants.
According to Zaldívar’s figures, for the Judicial Disciplinary Court “there are 50 (those who must remain at the end) and we have 5,192 applicants; for magistrates 2,784 and we have 5,092; For judges we have 10,599 candidates for 2,316 positions
