The Public ministry asked a court in this town to impose preventive detention against Maria Luisa (Mary Louise) Ventura Garrido, who is accused of attempted murder against the dancer and actress Patricia Antonia Ascuasiati Domínguez.
The Judicial Office of Permanent Attention Services of Villa Altagracia set the knowledge of the coercive measure for next Sunday, February 27, starting at 10:00 in the morning.
Ventura Garrido is attributed the violation of articles 2, 295 and 304 paragraph II of the Dominican Penal Code, to the detriment of Ascuasiati Domínguez, who receives medical care in a health center in this capital, after she was run over by the defendant in Duarte Highway.
The request for a coercive measure indicates that the event occurred on February 15, around 4:00 in the afternoon, at Km. 40 of the Duarte Highway, municipality of Villa Altagracia, in a north-south direction.
It indicates that both were traveling on board a sedan type car, KIA brand, model SOUL, white, driven by Ventura Garrido, who, when stopping to the right, on the aforementioned highway, intentionally ran over Ascuasiati Domínguez.
According to the instance, the fact was motivated because the victim would have demanded the defendant to stop the vehicle to the right in order to drive the rest of the way to Santo Domingo, since he was driving recklessly.
It indicates that upon reaching Km. 40 of the Duarte Highway, the defendant turns right and stops the vehicle, at which time the victim opens the front passenger door, dismounts from the car, and moves to the rear. lead.
It details that when Ascuasiati Domínguez is about to cross the front of the car, she is suddenly run over by the accused, who ran over her, leaving the victim trapped under the right front tire of the vehicle.
The Public Ministry indicated that it has different testimonial, documentary, expert and material evidence that establishes the link between the accused and the fact, while specifying that the measure that should be placed on her is preventive detention because there is a danger of escape and, above all, all because of the danger it poses to the victim.
