The Unitary Platform hopes that the integration policies for Venezuelans in Uruguay continue under the guidance of Yamandú Orsi
The Unitary Platform sent a congratulatory message on the night of Monday, November 25, to the elected president of Uruguay, Yamandú Orsi, for his victory on the 24th in the elections that were held in that country and affirmed that the process experienced in that nation further strengthens democracy in the region.
Via social networkthe Unitary Platform indicated that in Uruguay there are around 40 thousand Venezuelans living there in search of a better quality of life, which is why it highlighted the need to deepen policies in their favor for their integration and protection.
In that sense, the opposition coalition hopes that Yamandú Orsi can show solidarity and understand the fight they are carrying out for a change in the country’s administration.

Earlier, the elected president of Uruguay, Yamandu Orsi, He noted that the diplomatic relationship with Venezuela is complicated in the midst of “a slow process and a lot of work.”
In that sense, Orsi asserted that the most important thing between countries is the diplomatic relationship. He argued that Uruguay has a relationship with countries “that have nothing to do with our way of life.”
He said that he will review the relationship with Venezuela and evaluate if Uruguay recognizes the opposition Edmundo González Urrutia as president-elect. “We will see, when we sit down with our people at the Foreign Ministry, what state the relations are in.”
