Santo Domingo.-President Luis Abinader reported yesterday that the payment of the Easter royalty, for an amount of RD$30,777 million, will be made during the first week of December.
In addition, he announced the delivery of the Christmas Bonus, valued at RD$1,500, which will benefit three million people, as well as the organization of various family activities in healthy and fun environments to celebrate the Christmas season.
Samuel Pereyra, executive president of the Reserve Bank, highlighted the security measures implemented in the Christmas bonus cards, which now have chip technology instead of magnetic stripe.
This offers greater protection to users, who will be able to activate their card using their identity card.
Pereyra assured that the transactions are regulated under international standards and guaranteed that the beneficiaries will be able to purchase products at authorized stores.
President Abinader highlighted the advantage of this method compared to traditional “funditas,” noting that the card respects the dignity of people by requiring formal registration.
