Tonight, Fredy Hinojosa, spokesperson for the Presidential Office, responded to criticism against Dina Boluartewho assured that with ten soles you can prepare a soup, a second and even a “dessert.” The official assured that the president used a metaphor that has been “decontextualized.”
“If we literally analyze the president’s expressions, rather, she was referring to highlighting and valuing the great effort that our sisters make, precisely in an activity aimed at women in agriculture, who with great effort contribute to national development,” she expressed from Government Palace.
Hinojosa defended the use of the presidential car
At another time, Hinojosa admitted having used an official vehicle. He assured that it was in “strict compliance with the law” and that it is a regular procedure for his position as head of the Technical Cabinet of the Presidential Office.
“The use of the vehicle by the head of the Technical Cabinet of the Presidential Office is carried out in strict compliance with the law. This is a regular procedure in the State that is duly established in regulations with the force of law,” he told reporters.
He added that there may have been confusion regarding his task as spokesperson for the Presidential Office, which is not a position that exists within the structure of the State. What does exist, he stressed, is the position of the Head of the Technical Cabinet of the Presidential Office.
“In such a way, I reiterate, the use of the vehicle by the chief of staff is within the limits established by law,” he emphasized.
The DIna spokesperson also spoke about the bill on Small Mining and Artisanal Mining, known as the MAPE Law, which was sent last Thursday by the Executive Branch as “very urgent” to the Congress of the Republic and considered that it is up to the Legislature to make the decision it deems appropriate in strict compliance with the separation of powers and the autonomy that each institution has.
