The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) reported that cool temperatures will be recorded tonight and during the early hours, with values that will range between 21°C and 18°C in much of the country, and between 10°C and 15°C in the mountainous areas. This is due to the influence of a wind coming from the northeast.
During the afternoon today, the rains will continue in the provinces of Pedernales, Barahona, Azua, Peravia, San Cristóbal, María Trinidad Sánchez, Hermanas Mirabal, Espaillat, Puerto Plata, Santiago, La Vega, Monseñor Nouel, Sánchez Ramírez and Duarte.
In Santo Domingo and the National District, a partially cloudy sky is expected, accompanied by passing showers, thunderstorms and some gusts of wind.

For tomorrow, Tuesday, a trough at various levels of the troposphere, associated with a low pressure system south of Jamaica, will generate cloudy sky conditions with moderate to heavy downpours, thunderstorms and gusts of wind in locations such as Barahona, Independencia, Elías Piña, San Juan, Santiago, La Vega, Santiago Rodríguez and Dajabón.
Due to the current rains, the Emergency Operations Center (COE) keeps several provinces on alert for possible flash floods and landslides.
Regarding the maritime forecast, the Indomet recommends navigate with caution on the Caribbean coastfrom Isla Beata to Pedernales, and on the Atlantic coast, from Cabo Engaño (La Altagracia) to Punta Mangles (El Seibo), due to the increase in offshore waves.
