During a celebration in Chato Hill for the electoral success of YamandĂş Orsi and Carolina Cossethe presidential formula of the Frente Amplio, experienced moments of tension. In the midst of the festivities, a National Party supporter burst in violently with a shotgun, pointing towards a young Broad Front supporter.
Fortunately, the quick reaction of one of those present allowed the gun barrel to deviatepreventing the shot from causing injuries or even a fatal outcome. The altercation was recorded on video, where the potential danger of the situation can be seen, with the shot initially being directed at the group of celebrants.
They are looking for the attacker who has already been identified
The attacker, who was later found to be teacher at the Agrarian School from the town, managed to escape in his vehicle before being arrested by those present at the altercation. Witnesses to the incident immediately alerted the authorities, triggering a police investigation under the supervision of Richard Lima, Chief of Police of Treinta y Tres.
According to official sources, the dangerous situation began with a heated argument that led to the violent action of the individualwho fired shots into the air while fleeing the scene. The police have identified the aggressor and are working to locate him, following complaints filed at the local police station by members of the Frente Amplio.
