The Minister of Interior Relations, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, highlighted that, after unveiling the terrorist plan “No to Christmas” last Saturday, the opposition extremist María Corina Machado called for riots during the month of December.
Furthermore, he revealed that the ringleaders of this plan held videoconferences in which the fugitive from justice Iván Simonovis was present, who promised them a greater shipment of weapons of war and explosives that would enter through Colombia.
He commented that when the investigation began in the Maracaibo Mayor’s Office for corruption, matching names were revealed in the investigations into the plot of terrorist mercenaries who planned destabilizing actions in the country.
“The corruption plot is a simple addition to the conspiracy plot: ill-gotten money, mafias that even talk about the disappearance of people; and that is how we came to the name of José Enrique Rincón,” the minister explained this Monday during the broadcast of the program With Maduro +.
He explained that Rincón, a businessman of Zulian origin, has relationships with judges, prosecutors, businessmen, retired and active military personnel; who developed a plan called “No to Christmas” to attack electrical and public service facilities, who intended to “take Colombian paramilitary and drug trafficking groups throughout Venezuela.”
“We have recordings of meetings, of the places. We seized a group of weapons. “We are carrying out raids on more than 90 companies linked to this person,” he specified.
Blow to the No to Christmas plan
For its part, the president of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro highlighted the “great blow” against the “megalomaniacal delirium of surnames” of generating violence in the country with criminals linked to Colombian paramilitarism.
Maduro affirmed that the opposition extremists leave their companies and routes at the service of drug trafficking and paramilitaries as a guarantee.
The head of state also instructed to “liberate the Zulia state” from corrupt mafias, conspirators, paramilitaries and drug traffickers; and announced that he will soon begin a plan to recover the western entity with the aim of handing it over to Communal Power.
