Brazil ends Astana judo GP with two medals

Brazil concluded its participation in the judo Grand Prix promoted in Astana (Kazakhstan) by the International Federation of Sports for the Blind (IBSA), winning two medals: a silver and a bronze. The silver medal was won by Gabriel Rodrigues, 16 years old, from Mato Grosso do Sul, in the up to 70 kilos category of class J1 (for totally blind athletes). The Brazilian bronze came from 18-year-old Danilo Silva from Rondônia, in the up to 81 kilos category, also in the J1 class.

The Astana Grand Prix is ​​the first official event promoted by IBSA with the new rules that changed the weight ranges for the cycle of the next edition of the Paralympic Games, which will be held in Los Angeles (United States), in 2028.
