Schools with 75.5% progress to start the face-to-face school year

Nine days after starting the school year in person, the President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo, revealed and reiterated that the “Operation Schools 2022” program is already 75.5% complete.

On his Twitter account, the president stated that ‘Nothing beats teamwork. Operation Escuelas 2022 already has a 75.5% progress of the educational centers that will be ready for the face-to-face return of our students’.

On several occasions, the Minister of Education, Maruja Gorday de Villalobos, He has assured that they want parents to feel that security, and recalled that the 2020 school year closed with more than 40% of schools, with more than 400,000 students, in blended learning mode.

To carry out the operation, 625 educational establishments were adapted at a cost of 2,276,902 dollars, benefiting 162,985 students throughout the country.
