Melo Norte Technical School closed the school year
The Management, the Teaching Staff and the students of the Melo Norte Technical School received the educational community for the closing activities of the 2024 school year.
Throughout the day on Friday, a sample of the work carried out throughout the course was held at the different levels of this center that operates at the EBI level in the María Espínola modality.
“Today our students are the protagonists, they are the ones who carry out all the activities. This year’s theme is gramification, it is learning through games.” pointed out the Director of the Melo Norte Technical School.
“The students showed not only physical games they created but also virtual ones” he added.
“All the courses, including the Rumbo Plan and the night shift Baccalaureates, presented their projects. For example, students graduating in the Administration Area have already defended their projects. “Everyone today shows their final products” highlighted the Professor Karen Oviedo.
Despite having a location with limited capacity, the variety of work is truly exceptional. “This is achieved with a lot of work, management work, leadership and, above all, teamwork. If there is no collaboration and teamwork, nothing is achieved. “Here what really matters is collaborative and teamwork.” he insisted.
Oviedo recalled that he has been in charge of the institution for 2 years, a management that has been characterized by carrying out a project-based learning strategy. “This is reflected in the different products, in the trips we take during the year and in the Ceibal awards we have received” told to THE DIARY PROFESSIONAL. “All of this motivates the student a lot. We are the ones in charge of opening opportunities to our students.” said.
NEW LOGO OF THE EDUCATIONAL CENTER
“On the façade we painted the logo” he commented. “Although we already had the institutional logo of UTU, now we have one of our school. It was achieved through a three-year process. It is one of the activities of the María Espínola Center modality where all students participated through a contest, as well as families and the community.” projection. “They voted on which logo seemed correct to them. Thus, from now on we are already using them because it has already been authorized by UTU. From now on that will be the distinctive feature of the Melo Norte Technical School. We are sure that the little ones will wear it with great pride because it is the product of their own effort.” express.

“In 2024 we have a total enrollment of 285 students” revealed. “We function as the María Espínola Center in extended hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Then, starting at 6:00 p.m., the night shift where training and Bachelor’s Degrees in Electricity, Administration, and Gastronomy are provided.
