Saint Dominic.- The Emergency Operations Center (COE) increased the provinces on alert from 10 to 12 due to the incidence of a frontal system to the north, as well as the effects associated with daytime warming, which will be generating heavy downpours with thunderstorms and occasional gusts of wind in the locations of the northwest, north, northeast, Caribbean coastal coast and the Central mountain range.
In this sense, the entity maintains five provinces on yellow alert and seven on green due to possible sudden urban and rural floods, flooding of rivers, streams and ravines, as well as landslides
of land.

In yellow are the provinces Espaillat, María Trinidad Sánchez, Duarte, Puerto Plata and Hermanas Mirabal.
While the locations marked with green are: La Vega, La Altagracia, Monseñor Nouel, Monte Plata, San Cristóbal, Sánchez Ramírez and Samaná.
“People should refrain from crossing rivers, streams and ravines that have high volumes of water, and not use spas, due to the turbidity and the volume of water they hold,” he indicated. the COE.
