The president of the Union in Monagas highlighted that, despite the situation, the majority of teachers are active in educational institutions. A few weeks ago, the Minister of Education, Héctor Rodríguez, said that it is incongruous that teachers with dual positions, specifically in the AVEC and public schools, are under a full-time workload.

The president of the Single Teachers’ Union in Monagas, Darío Lima, assured that at least 1,500 teachers were removed from the payroll of the Ministry of Education due to “overload.”
