Series A of the 2025 Brazilian Championship will have the unprecedented presence of Mirassol and the return of Sport Club Recife and Ceará. The last three places in the national football elite were defined with great emotion on Sunday night (24). Leader Santos, who had already guaranteed access two rounds in advance, sealed the title of Series B champion tonight, with 68 points, followed by Mirassol (67), Sport (66) and Ceará (64).

The biggest score of the night was from Sport, which returns to the first division of national football after three years in the Second Division. Leão entered the field on Ilha do Retiro occupying fifth place in the table, with 63 points, behind Ceará, with the same score, but with 19 victories, one more than Leão. Despite the complicated situation, the hosts They came out on top: against the already classified Santos, 2-1, with goals from striker Lucas Lima – one of them from the penalty spot. Wendel Silva decreased for Peixe. The score could even have been greater for Sport, if it weren’t for midfielder Barletta wasting a penalty in the 39th minute of the final stage, saved by goalkeeper Brazão.

The first to find the net tonight was Mirassol. Playing at home against Chapecoense (15th place), the team from the interior of São Paulo opened the scoring with Yuri Castilho in the 15th minute of the first stage. The São Paulo team managed the result until the final whistle and then it was just celebration with unprecedented access in the club’s history.
At the same time, two visiting teams that needed to win away from home – Novorizontino (3rd) and Ceará (4th) – remained goalless in the first stage. The panorama favored the access of the São Paulo team, which faced Goiás in Serrinha. However, Paulo Baya scored in the 37th minute of the second half for Esmeraldino and sealed the victory for the home team, 1-0, preventing Novorizontino from accessing the 2025 Series A.

The result in Serrinha favored Ceará to return to the football elite next year. Vozão did not come from 0-0 against Guarani, last placed in the table, playing at Brinco de Ouro, in Campinas.
In addition to Guarani, bottom with just 33 points, three other teams were relegated to the 2025 Series C: Brusque (19th), with 36 points; Ituano (18th) with 37 points; and Ponte Preta (17th), with 38 points.
