The Justices of the Peace will be elected in 5,240 communal circuits, through 4,994 voting centers, in 1,035 parishes.
This Monday, November 25, the nomination period for the elections of Communal Justices of the Peace begins and will extend until Thursday the 28th, so that the Communal Councils and Social Movements can choose their candidates in a popular assembly. Applications on their own initiative must comply with the requirements established in the Law
The Electoral Commission of the Communal Circuit will be responsible for receiving the forms and their collections to evaluate the information in accordance with the provisions of the Law and will proceed to register the candidates in the Automated Nomination System. The election of justices of the peace will take place on December 15, 2024, a process governed by the Organic Law of Communal Peace Justice and the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, AVN reports.
The Commune Electoral Commission will be in charge of organizing and supervising the electoral process in the communal circuits, which cover various communities and social movements. The National Electoral Council will have a technical advisory role in the electoral process. It is part of the structure of the electoral commissions, including the National Electoral Commission, and its function is to contribute with its experience and knowledge to ensure that the electoral process is carried out appropriately and in accordance with the Law.
The Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces will carry out the deployment and custody of electoral material, as well as the security and correct functioning of the voting centers during the electoral process. The Justices of the Peace will be elected in 5,240 communal circuits, through 4,994 voting centers, in 1,035 parishes.
