“If you want, let me speak and right now we will talk about the issue of the countryside,” the federal president asked the protesters to end her message in which she spoke about the election of judges in June 2025.
After giving her message in which she spoke about the laws she has promoted and the new programs, the president promised that in two weeks both the president of Michoacán and the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Julio Berdegué, will address the issue.
“Alfredo and the Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development to come to Álvaro Obregón and attend to all the colleagues to know how we do it, because we have more programs, so that there are fair prices for grains,” said the president.
He recalled that there is a program called “Sowing life and it is for the countryside,” while farmers accused that the president did not care for them.
“With corn, we are seeing how, there are other schemes to be able to bring the buyer, the real buyer, closer to the producer so that there is not so much intermediary, who are the ones who then keep all the profits from the field; that is the program that we are developing,” said Claudia Sheinbaum
At the event, the president commented that the members of the “Fourth Transformation” must set an example, so they must govern with “honesty and justice:
“Nothing about having privileges, we govern with the Fourth Transformation of public life.”
