CADE Executives 2024: What is the agenda of this forum?

This Tuesday, November 26, CADE Executives 2024 begins, one of the most relevant business meetings in Peru, which in its 62nd edition will address as a topic “From degradation to the reconstruction of our future”.

Under three large blocks, business leaders, academics and politicians will discuss concrete proposals that promote the sustained development and competitiveness of the country. The scheduled activities are detailed below.

Tuesday, November 26:

Opening

  • 15:30 – 15:50

    Official opening of the event with the participation of Fernando Barriospresident of CADE Executives 2024, and Gonzalo Galdospresident of IPAE Business Action.

  • 15:50 – 16:00

    Welcome words from strategic allies: Julio Cacerespresident of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Arequipa, and Juan Manuel García Calderongeneral director of TECSUP.

  • 16:00 – 16:40

    Conference “Action leadership in the current global geopolitical and geoeconomic context”with the former president of Colombia, Alvaro Uribemoderated by José Antonio García Belaunde.

  • 16:40 – 17:20

    “Peru in regional perspective”by the political scientist Andrés Malamud (Argentina) and moderated by Maria Cecilia Villegas.

  • 16:40 – 17:20

    Refreshments will be held, which will serve as a space for networking.

  • 17:50 – 18:15

    Analysis of megatrends and global competitions by Andres Cadena (McKinsey & Company).

  • 18:15 – 18:55

    Closing with the presentation “Vision of the future”led by Luis Carranzaformer Minister of Economy and Finance.

Wednesday, November 27

Block I: Rebuilding the future

  • 9:00 – 9:25

    Conference ““Public-private alliance for regional development”with Julian Herman (Boston Consulting Group). This will address the opportunities and advantages of new technologies in Latin American countries.

  • 9:25 – 10:50

    Private investment, State management and well-being. At this conference prominent economists such as Elmer Cuba, Norman Loayza, Carlos Paredes and David Tuesta with Ana Rosa Valdivieso, high representative for the Accession Process of Peru to the OECD will address the country’s main challenges to generate economic development.

  • 10:50 – 11:20

    Refreshments will be held, which will serve as a space for networking.

  • 11:20 – 12:00

    The conference will be held: Formalization and job security. This is a space that will bring together business associations and worker representatives to present proposals that contribute to solving the problem of informal employment in our country. The leaders CONFIEP, SIN, Capeco, APT and FTCCP participate.

  • 12:00 – 13:00

    Meritocracy and public managementwith specialists such as Francisco Longo (Esade) and Alexander Weber.

  • 13:00 – 15:00

    Lunch and space for networking.

Block II: Business resilience and public-private action

  • 15:00 – 15:35

    Conference “Peru business and possibility”, which will address Resilience and impact of family businesses on the development of Peru. The exhibitor will be Beatriz Boza.

  • 15:35 – 16:15

    Dashboard women with business legacy in the industrymoderated by Susana Eléspuru.

  • 16:15 – 16:45

    Refreshments will be held, which will serve as a space for networking.

  • 16:45 – 17:25

    Companies that transform: shared value strategies to generate well-being, in which prominent companies will participate.

  • 17:25 – 18:00

    IPAE proposals for universal health and quality education. Participating in this space will be: Midori de Habich, Member of the health committee of IPAE Acción Empresarial and María Isabel León, Vice President of IPAE Acción Empresarial.

  • 18:00 – 18:50

    Public-private alliance for regional development. This is a panel that will be the legacy of CADE Executives for Arequipa. This will present development projects for the region.

Thursday, November 28

Block III: Action commitments to achieve the future vision

  • 9:00 – 10:00

    Conference “Macroeconomic stability and sustained growthwith Julio Velarde (BCRP) and the minister Jose Arista.

  • 10:00 – 10:40

    A Minimum Political Reform for 2026. The necessary adjustments to the Law of Political Organizations for the financing of political parties will be delved into.

  • 10:40 – 11:10

    Refreshments will be held, which will serve as a space for networking.

  • 11:10 – 12:10

    Reform of the justice system. It will address improving the functioning and effectiveness of the judicial system to ensure that justice is administered in a more equitable, efficient and accessible manner.

  • 12:10 – 12:20

    Legacy of CADE Executives 2024.

  • 12:20 – 12:40

    Final dialogue with President Dina Boluarte (to be confirmed).

  • 12:40 – 13:00

    Official closing with the presentation of conclusions by Fernando Barrios and Gonzalo Galdos.

CADE Executives 2024 will not only seek to analyze the challenges facing Peru, but also propose concrete solutions based on public-private collaboration and collective action. This event will be key to outlining a vision of sustainable development for the future of the country.
