He Ministry of Health (Minsa) announced the immediate reorganization of the General Directorate of Environmental Health and Food Safety (Digesa)in response to recent complaints about spoiled food delivered to schoolchildren through the Qali Warma program.
In this sense, the Minsa created the “Sector Working Group for the evaluation of the processes and resources of the General Directorate of Environmental Health and Food Safety – DIGESA”, with the aim of carrying out a comprehensive evaluation of the processes and resources of the DIGESA.
Said Sectoral Working Group, which will have a Technical Secretariat, will be chaired by a representative of the Minsa and among its functions is to formulate recommendations on actions and measures of administrative and management reform for the reorganization of the DIGESA.
The titular representatives of the Minsa, the Vice Minister of Public Health and the Secretary General, as well as the alternate representatives before the aforementioned Sectoral Working Group will be accredited by written communication addressed to the Technical Secretariat of the Sectoral Working Group within a period of no more than three business days, counted from the day after the aforementioned Ministerial Resolution is published.
