During this weekend, parliamentarians from the Homeland bloc in the state of Cojedes led a public consultation on the Liberator Simón Bolívar Against the Blockade Organic Law Project. This legal instrument seeks to sanction those who establish alliances with foreign agents to impose sanctions against the Venezuelan people.
From Plaza Bolívar de Tinaco, members of the Popular Power, considered this debate of the law with the people important, “which is of vital importance for Venezuelans, first because it bears the name of our Father of the Country, and secondly because This law seeks to defend peace, sovereignty, the security of the nation and the human rights of Venezuelans. We cannot allow the North American empire to continue attacking our people and causing harm with these coercive measures imposed in alliance with traitors to the Homeland,” highlighted Milagros Abreu, head of UBCh in Tinaco.
Nosliw Rodríguez, head of the parliamentary bloc in Cojedes, recalled the great challenges that the Liberator Simón Bolívar went through to achieve the independence of Venezuela, highlighting that today the United States government intends to put this emancipation of the peoples into play, deepening the unilateral coercive measures.
He emphasized that, in the world there are two models that oppose each other, “the model of Monroism, led by the United States to control all of America, and Bolivarianism, which is the Bolivarian thought for the integration of the peoples of the Americas to help each other.” said the Deputy to the National Assembly.
He highlighted that Commander Chávez raised the flags of Bolivarian thought for the integration of the peoples of America, promoting organizations such as the Union of South American Nations (Unasur), among others. “That is why the North American empire attacks Venezuela by imposing a blockade and more sanctions. Now with a law that they approved in the House of Representatives of the United States, which, by the way, offends the name of our Father of the Nation, what this law comes to do is reinforce what they have already been doing, continue sanctioning and hitting to the country,” Rodríguez stressed.
The parliamentarian explained that, as a response from the National Assembly of Venezuela, in the face of “the aberrant law approved in the United States,” this legal instrument was created that will sanction those who form alliances to destabilize national sovereignty. “This Draft Organic Law of Liberator Simón Bolívar Against the Blockade aims to apply disqualification measures to those who collaborate with external factors to establish sanctions against our Homeland,” Rodríguez stressed.
Health sector rejects new US attack
The Public Health System of the Bolivarian state of Cojedes, represented by the spokespersons of the Health Committees of the Communal Councils and Communes, workers of Comprehensive Community Health Areas ASIC, large hospitals and other health centers throughout the Cojedes territory, as well as managers, administrative staff and workers of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Popular Power for Health, rejected in full “the new imperial attack of the North American government to enact a law that intensifies coercive measures and unilateral actions that have done so much damage to the Venezuelan economy and therefore to all the people,” the statement reads.
Likewise, the Public Health System of the state of Cojedes rejected the use of the name of Father Liberator Simón Bolívar, to name “such an infamous instrument of aggression of the North American empire to attack the people of Venezuela, its institutions and its economy.” ”.
In this same sense, the Cojedeño Public Health System, on behalf of Minister Magaly Gutiérrez and the entity’s Single Health Authority, Manuel Rodríguez, supports the position of the president, Nicolás Maduro, of creating the necessary conditions for protection of the people, as well as the authentic proposed law in the National Assembly, called “Ley Orgánica Libertador Simón Bolívar”, which provides for sanctions of up to 30 years in prison, among other administrative sanctions such as the extinction of ownership of records of public documents and material assets, to any natural and legal person involved in supporting the aforementioned and infamous imperial law, considered “high treason against the Homeland.”
