Santo Domingo.-Strongs rainselectrical storms and gusts of wind this Sunday in at least 12 provinces due to a trough and a frontal system that will begin to affect the country, reported the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet).
He reported that due to this situation, residents in low areas and close to ravines, rivers and streams should be alert to the possible occurrence of sudden floods and possible landslides.
The provinces affected by the rains would be La Romana, San Pedro de Macorís, Hato Mayor, El Seibo, Monte Plata, La Altagracia, Sánchez Ramírez, Samaná, Duarte, María Trinidad Sánchez, El Gran Santo Domingo, among others.

“Meteorological alerts are issued for possible flooding associated with the frontal system over the eastern portion of Cuba and Vaguada over the eastern portion of the country, which will increase rainfall starting today.
